Paper Title
Navigating the Critical Success Factors Associated With Manufacturing IC Chips in Indian Semiconductor Manufacturing Industry
Abstract
The integrated circuit (IC) is paramount in electronic device reduction, processing speed enhancement, and reliability improvement. Significantly, the proliferation of these technologies has resulted in progress across multiple sectors, encompassing healthcare, communications, and the automotive industry. This study ranks and identifies the critical success factors associated with manufacturing IC chips in the Indian semiconductor industry using one sample t-test approach. Based on an exhaustive literature search, this research examines twelve success factors linked to manufacturing IC chips that focus on India. In addition, these success factors have been validated by experts from semiconductor manufacturing organizations. The research concludes that “SF1. Infrastructure and Facilities”, “SF3. Government Support”, and “SF11. Risk Management”, are the critical success factors associated with manufacturing of IC chips, as per the t-test analysis from 176 respondents working in the semiconductor organizations in India. The implications of the findings extend beyond policymakers and businesses, benefiting a wide range of stakeholders such as fabless semiconductor firms, domestic manufacturers, and multinational semiconductor corporations.
