Meta-Path Analysis of Teachers’ Psychological Burnout & Social Support in Teacher-Child Interactions

Abstract
This study uses meta-path analysis to verify the influence relationship between teachers' psychological exhaustion, a risk factor, and social support, a protective factor, which are discussed as major variables affecting teacher-infant interaction. For this purpose, a meta-analysis was conducted on 49 studies on topics related to teacher-infant interaction published in domestic academic journals and master's and doctoral theses from 2011 to October 2023. To verify the model of this study, path analysis was performed using the meta-analyzed correlation matrix. As a result of the analysis, teachers' psychological exhaustion and social support were found to have a direct impact on teacher-infant interaction. And psychological exhaustion was found to indirectly affect teacher-infant interaction through social support. This study conducted a meta-analysis to synthesize the relationship between teacher-infant interaction and teachers' psychological exhaustion and social support. In addition, path analysis based on structural equation modeling was integrated to verify the research model. This meta-path analysis is meaningful in that teacher-infant interaction was analyzed from a comprehensive perspective.
