Paper Title
NUMERICAL STUDY OF NANOFLUID FLOW THROUGH A CORRUGATED CHANNEL WITH VORTEX GENERATOR
Abstract
Abstract - The present work concerns the numerical study of two-dimensional, turbulent flow with heat transfer in a corrugated channel with vortex generators using Al2O3 nanoparticles with 3% volume fraction dispersed in a basic fluid (water). The equations that govern the flow are: the continuity equation, the momentum equations, and the energy equation to model heat transfer. These equations were discretized and solved by the Ansys-Fluent commercial code. The standard k-ε model was used for turbulence modeling. The simulation is carried out for different values of the Reynolds number ranging from 5000 to 17500 and different amplitudes, namely a=1, 2, 3 and 4 mm.The results obtained are in good agreement with the results found in previous studies.
