APPLICATION PROGRAMMING INTERFACE FOR ELECTRON BEAM WELDING PROCESS PARAMETER SETTING

Abstract
Abstract - The developed Application Programming Interface for parameter setting of the process electron beam welding of carbon steel C45 is presented. It provides the possibility for the initial choice of process parameters, the study of the dependence of the output steel C45 weld quality characteristics on the electron beam welding parameter setting, as well as the product quality improvement by choosing optimal process working regimes, depending on the set technological requirements and constraints. The implementation of the developed software with its three functional modules: Calculator, Investigation, and Optimization is directed toward supporting the operators’ choice of optimal regime parameter for electron beam welding of Steel C45 joints and for educational purposes of the welding specialists. The integration of the developed software modules and its experimental and model database with generalized integrated process management system for electron beam welding of different materials, sample dimensions, additional process parameters and specific technological requirements is also a possible application of the presented Application Programming Interface.
