STUDY ON THE IMPORTANCE OF RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION TO THE GROWTH OF AN ENTERPRISE; CASE OF TEFON HR SARL

Abstract
Abstract - Throughout the decades in the managerial milieu, recruitment has been the gateway/route for individuals into an enterprise. The methods of access can be considered harsh or severe due to the quality and even the quantity demanded. This has rendered this part of Human Resource delicate when recruiting and selecting new personnel, this is because emotions such as: familiarity, pity, and acquaintance have to be laid aside when quality recruitment and selection has to be carried out. While doing our internship we discovered some irregularities in the way recruitment was carried out. It is due to this, that we derived our topic “THE IMPORTANCE OF RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION TO THE GROWTH OF AN ENTERPRISE”. Reconciling our theory and practical, we carried out an internship of two months in TEFON HR SARL and from the work; we realized the yawning abyss that existed between the theory we learned in school and the practice on the field with regards to the recruitment of personnel. Our main objective is to explain the importance of recruitment and selection to the growth of an enterprise. The methods of data collection were done through the primary and secondary methods. The data collected through the primary method was done by way of observation and face to face contact with some of the workers in the enterprise while the secondary method consist of information that already existed somewhere, through the interview guide and books found in the archive of TEFON HR. The results obtained while carrying out our internship activities was that TEFON HR main activities depends mostly on the recruitment and selection of workers ensuring the right worker is recruited and selected. We encountered the following difficulties faced by the enterprise which were ineffective use of the recruitment approaches, ineffective study of referred employees and inefficient talent sourcing. We recommended that the enterprise should plan on the exact recruitment approach to be implemented be it in-house, employee referrals and every other method the enterprise may propose to carry out recruitment and applying advance talent sourcing strategies and proactively reach out to potential candidate.
