Paper Title
CORONA VIRUS: CELL-BASED THERAPY AND REPAIR BY MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS AND EXOSOMES
Abstract
Abstract - This studyaims at investigating the forms of different coronavirustypes, the etiology of SARS_CoV_2 disease, and the effects of cell-based therapy methods by stem cells and extracellular vesicles obtained from such cells. Studies have shown a distinctive sequence in the middle of SARS_CoV_2 spike (S) glycoprotein in the coronavirus family that indicates the divergence between SARS_CoV_2 and other coronaviruses. Thisstudy was carried out based on articles in Google Scholar, PubMed, IsIWeb of Knowledge databases. Seven out of 40 different types of coronaviruses have been found in people. While HCoV_HKU1, HCoV_229E, HCoV_OC43, and HCoV_NL63regularly cause diseases in the human population, other types such as SARS, MERS, and Covid-19 are associated with more severe symptoms. According to recent reports, researchers have turned to studying stem cell-derived systemsfor further investigation ofa new and emerging betacoronavirusstrain, i.e., SARS-CoV_2. Stem cell therapy has received more attention in this area, because these cells create organoids in the culture medium and maintain signaling polarity alongside functional immunity. Stem cells has been applied as a practical model to study and investigate the pathogenicity of the virus in two- or three-dimensional culture models. Finally, stem cell-derived exosomeswith their potential forrepair of damaged lungs are another option that have recently been considered in the treatment of the SARS-CoV_2 disease.
