A STUDY OF THE FOREST HEALING EFFECT FROM THE PERSPECTIVES OF FIRST-LINE GROUND STAFF

Abstract
Abstract - Due to impact of COVID-19 epidemic especially for aviation industry, first-line ground staff have to cope with the changing work environment and are worried about pay cuts, temporary unpaid furloughs, infections and layoff. This study explores the forest healing effects of first-line ground staff based on Attention Restoration Theory(ART). Around 300 first-line ground staff of Taiwan's full-service carrier (FSC) who have ever visited forest recreation areas during 2022 are adopted in this study. The findings indicate that the compliance with safety work has a negative impact on job stress; job stress has a negative impact on flourishing. Besides, the forest healing can be the moderator between ground job stress and flourishing. The results can be the references for forest healing researchesas well as the impacts of COVID-19 for tourism industry.
