A STUDY ON COMPARISON OF PERFORMANCE OF VARIOUS DATA OPTIMIZATION ALGORITHMS ON WATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
Abstract
Abstract - In recent years, with the acceleration of industrialization and urbanization, countries are faced with different problems such as increase in water demands of intensive human and agricultural activities, increase in the amount of water resources use due to variable climatic conditions, deterioration of water quality and sabotage. As stated in many strategy plans published by countries, water management systems are one of the critical infrastructures, which are among the priority areas of work.
Accordingly, in order to manage water resources in a sustainable way, methods that require advanced technology in areas such as measurement systems, monitoring and control systems need to be defined and put into practice. For this reason, it has become imperative to develop an effective detection method to identify changes and anomalies in systems and to provide rapid early warning in case of potential hazards, in order to improve emergency response capacity and protect water management systems from potential hazards, intentionally or unintentionally. Therefore, in this study, it is aimed to create systems that can make faster decisions based on the importance of developing an effective anomaly detection system for water management systems. In this direction, studies were carried out with some popular optimization algorithms in the literature in order to obtain faster and more accurate results while classifying abnormal situations on multi-featured data to be collected over these systems, and the optimum features obtained from these systems were compared with the results obtained by various classification algorithms. According to this, studies were carried out with various algorithms on the WADI data set published by I-Trust and obtained from the water distribution test environment, and it was seen that KNN in classification methods and Grey Wolf Optimization (GFO) and Whale Optimization Algorithms (WOA) among optimization algorithms were the best performing algorithms.
