SAFEGUARDING HUMAN RIGHTS IN GHANA: AN ANALYSIS OF THE GHANAIAN CONSTITUTION

Abstract
Abstract -This conference article delves into the human rights issues prevailing in Ghana and examines the protective framework provided by the Ghanaian Constitution. By exploring key constitutional provisions and their practical implementation, this article aims to shed light on the state of human rights in Ghana, identify areas of concern, and propose recommendations for improvement. Through a comprehensive analysis, it becomes evident that while Ghana has made significant strides in promoting and protecting human rights, challenges remain that require attention and action. By referencing global organizations such as Amnesty International, the United States Department of State, the International Commission of Jurists, the Danish Institute for Human Rights, and the United States Department of Justice, we shed light on the current state of human rights in Ghana. The findings highlight both achievements and challenges, emphasizing the importance of continued efforts to ensure the preservation of human rights and equality for all citizens.
