THE EFFICIENCY OF ONLINE EDUCATION DURING THE COVID-19: CASE STUDY OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP COURSE
Abstract
Abstract - The Covid-19 outbreak set numerous challenges for higher education, the biggest one being to ensure that high standards and teaching efficiency were transferred to the online environment. From one day to the next, the traditional classrooms were replaced with virtual ones and students who were used to in-person contact with their professors and peers were suddenly isolated. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the efficiency of online education during the Covid-19 pandemic through the example of the course Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb, by using students’ grades as measurement, considered an objective measure for student learning output. The paper will also discuss different teaching methods that were introduced in order to maintain high standards and help both professors and students acclimate to the new situation.
