THE INFLUENCE OF WORK VALUES PERSON-ORGANIZATION FIT AND PERCEIVED ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT ON INTENTION TO STAY OF GENERATION Y IN A TELECOMMUNICATION COMPANY

Abstract
Abstract - The objectives of this research were to study as follows: 1) To study the level of work values, person-organization fit, perceived organizational support and intention to stay of generation Y employees in telecommunication company in Thailand 2) To study the relationship between work values, person-organization fit, perceived organizational support and intention to stay of generation Y employees in telecommunication company in Thailand and 3) To study the influence of work values, person-organization fit, perceived organizational support on intention to stay of generation Y employees in telecommunication company in Thailand. The sample of this study were 208 generation Y who work in customer support department. Data were collected by questionnaires. Statistical werepercentage, mean, standard deviation correlation and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows: 1) All dimensions of work values, person-organization fit, perceived organizational support was high level 2) Work values, person-organization fit, perceived organizational support was positively correlated with intention to stay at the .01 significance level. 3) Social and altruistic work values, prestige or status work values, person-organization fit, perceived organizational support could predict intention to stay of generation Y employee in telecommunication company at the .05 significance level.
