INTENTION TO USE METAVERSE PLATFORMS AMONG VIETNAMESE: WHAT ARE THE IMPACT OF PERCEIVED COMPATIBILITY, TECHNOLOGICAL LITERACY AND TECHNOLOGICAL COMPLEXITY?

Abstract
Abstract - The emergence of the metaverse holds immense potential for practical applications across various fields, offering numerous opportunities and economic value in the coming decades. Understanding the determinants that impact the intention to use metaverse platforms plays a crucial role in their successful implementation in the market. This quantitative research aims to examine the factors that influence the intention to use metaverse platforms in Vietnam, with a specific focus on 385 Vietnamese users, particularly in Ho Chi Minh City. The findings reveal that perceived compatibility, technological complexity, and technological literacy are influential factors that affect the intention to use metaverse platforms. Based on these results, implications are provided for metaverse providers to enhance their understanding of potential users' perceptions when deploying metaverse platforms.
