AUTOMATION OF PREPARATION OF DRUG LOADED RED BLOOD CELLS FOR TARGETED DRUG DELIVERY
Abstract
Abstract - Targeted delivery of drugs based on blood cells is an actual direction of modern pharmacology. This paper presents the design of an automated software-controlled complex device based on a new technology for automatic loading of erythrocytes with selected drugs with a disposable sterile set of consumables for targeted drug delivery to the human body. The hardware and software complex is an electronic-mechanical device consisting of seven main functional modules, including a functional centrifuge, reactor, precision dispenser, manipulator, filters and sterilizer, as well as an analog signal adapter. The hardware and software complex is designed for the automatic inclusion of drugs into the autologous erythrocytes by the method of hypo-osmotic hemolysis.
