Paper Title
A DATA SCIENCE APPROACH TO THE EVALUATION OF MANUFACTURING FIRMS VIA NETWORK DEA
Abstract
Abstract - Data envelopment analysis (DEA) has been widely applied to measure the relative efficiency of a set of decision-making units (DMUs) that use the same inputs to produce the same outputs. One type of decomposition emphasizes the stages of the production process. The complicated production process is divided into sub-processes. Some intermediate products are a sub-process outputs and another sub-process inputs. In the literature, most models investigate multi-stage cases only, and they cannot apply to the situation of multi-period and multi-stage. Different from previous studies, we measure the efficiencies DMUs with multi-period and multi-stage. An example of Taiwan PCB industry is used to illustrate the idea proposed in this study.
