WHY LESS IS MORE: PROMOTING REVENGE TRAVEL DESTINATIONS USING THE LAW OF VITAL FEW
Abstract - This study was anchored on the 80-20 principle or popularly known as the Law of Vital Few developed by Vilfredo Pareto. This principle is helpful in analyzing target market where mostly 80% of the given business profit typically comes from a mere 20% of its clients. Relating this concept to tourism, the researcher used 2021 tourist arrival data from the Philippine Department of Tourism and computed to identify the top 20% countries that the Philippines should prioritize in marketing. This study is relevant as it gives direction to tourism managers to solidify its products and services in this era of revenge travel.
