The Relationship Between Factors Related to Family Motivation and Contextual Performance

Abstract
Abstract - This study explores the impact of employees' motivation based on their family on their work and whether the context of their family situation affects their family motivation. The study examines how an individual's family motivation affects contextual performance from the perspective of self-determination theory. It also examines how an individual's family context affects their subjective vitality based on the conservation of resources theory. Further, internal factors vary with an employee's intrinsic motivation, while external factors are influenced by an employee's perception of work resources. Therefore, this study incorporates the exploration of intrinsic motivation and perceived work resources. This research empirically confirms that an employee's family motivation affects their contextual performance through subjective vitality as a mediator. Moreover, an employee's family motivation is positively influenced by the positive aspects of their family context. Furthermore, intrinsic motivation and perceived work resources negatively moderate the positive relationship between family-work enrichment and family motivation.
