Literature Review on UAV Applications and Directions of Development

Abstract
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are now a standard in many industries, and the number of yearly published works on them is growing every year. There are good reviews of applications in particular branches such as agriculture, forestry, surveillance, etc. However, it is difficult to find descriptions aggregating their applications from many industries. This paper presents a broad literature review on the current applications of UAVs and discusses the direction of their development. A number of articles from online directories were used, which were filtered, then analyzed statistically and qualitatively. The review concludes that UAVs are gaining new applications, new trends and current research gaps are presented. Keywords - Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), Drone, Review, Application.
