Abstract
The quality and availability of health care are closely related to the economy and fundamentally affect the economic functioning of the country. Healthcare is unique in every country, and so are healthcare systems. These show considerable diversity, so different forms of healthcare systems are also emerging in individual countries. European countries are no exception. The aim of this paper is to evaluate scientific approaches to healthcare systems in countries of the European Union. A partial goal is to create a basic overview of the healthcare systems used in the countries of the European Union. Healthcare systems in European countries are built on two basic healthcare models and are similar in certain parts, but also show signs of certain differences. These models which are used in the EUare the Beveridge model and the Bismarck model. In this paper, a schema is created through which the division of EU countries according to healthcare is clearly visible. This is also related to the issue of disparity of health care expenditures, which is related to a given issue.
