Abstract
In these changing times, change needs to become second language for all industries, especially marketing industry. Given the expansion of technology, tools, and strategies together with the increasing expectations of customers, marketers need to be drivers of change. What is crucial in this context is the power to build strong long-lasting relationships with our own customers so here comes the question: what is the future of customer relationship management? This article makes an inventory of the current knowledge in customer relationship management and elaborates on some assumptions about the future of customer relationship management and marketing altogether. While the future is yet to be discovered, keeping an open mind and being flexible on the possibilities that future might bring are exceptionally important features for everyone, especially for marketing experts.
