Paper Title
Automatic Conversion of 2D Images to 3D Stereo Images with Variable Disparity Width using Monocular Depth Images

Abstract
Currently, active shutter systems are commonly used for viewing 3D videos. This method requires the use of a pair of images for the left eye and the right eye, so images shot with a monocular camera in the past cannot be viewed in 3D. As a result, stereo conversion of monocular video images using image processing has gained attention. In this paper, we propose a method for converting 2D monocular images to 3D stereo images by acquiring disparity, which is the difference between the left-eye and right-eye images, from the estimated depth image, and performing pixel shift and completing missing information. Experimental results showed that the proposed method outperforms the conventional method in terms of global visual clarity, Although the proposed method did not show any improvement in the quantitative evaluation by MAE, experiments confirmed that it produced sharper disparity images and that the disparity shift range could be changed. Therefore, our proposed method provides a new and more effective way of converting 2D images into 3D images.
