How Gender Division of Labor and Gender Norms Influence on Women’s Livelihoods? A Case of Farmers in Cameroon
Abstract
This article aims to reveal how women in rural Cameroon are influenced by the gender division of labor and gender norms. The qualitative data from the fieldwork in the central part of Cameroon showed that women have limited access to the land for farming. Women's access to land is related to their conjugal contract, which makes women's decision-making power weaker within a household.
