What Influence Mobile Banking Adoption among Customers in Malaysia: Model Integration and Empirical Validation

Abstract
Most of the banks in Malaysia are offering mobile banking services. However, there is a dearth of research on factors affecting mobile banking adoption among consumers in Malaysia. This study fills this gap and examines the factors affecting mobile banking adoption. Integrating Technology Adoption and Diffusion of Innovation Theory with risk was additional factor considered in this research. Data were collected from 364 respondents and Regression analysis was used to test six hypotheses. The study results reveal the positive effect of relative advantage, perceived ease of use, compatibility, observ ability and trial ability on mobile banking adoption intention. Perceived risk negatively affects mobile banking adoption. The findings of this will have theoretical and practical implication for banking industry in Malaysia.
