Paper Title
Inheritance Law regarding Parental Abandonment

Abstract
This paper examines whether Thai inheritance legislation regarding the inheritance rights of parents who have failed their parental duties ought to be amended, in response to social criticism resulting from the Goo Hara case and a vital modification in South Korea inheritance law. Since then there has been much discussion of whether Thai inheritance law should be modified following it. To answer the question, it provides Thai inheritance law concerning the inheritance rights, the Goo Hara Act of South Korea, and the differences between Thai and South Korea inheritance law about inheritance rights of parents on their abandoned children’s legacy. The results demonstrated that the amendment of the Thai law, following the Goo Hara Act; is unnecessary, since Thai inheritance law has already given people the right to restrict someone from their inheritance by will.
