Paper Title
Case Studies on the Peer Influence and Peer Pressure in Juvenile Delinquency

Abstract
Adolescents are around the age of easily committing crime as the brain development is not fully developed. In this stage, peer presences are believed to influence and to pressure adolescents in committing delinquent acts. Crime is an important social and public issue that contributes considerably to the illness and mortality of adolescents and places a significant economic burden on society. Prior to expounding the public's knowledge, the current study was aimed to explore the perceptions of adolescents toward juvenile delinquency, and to understand the ways peer influence and peer pressure affects juvenile delinquency. Although peer influences and peer pressures are perceived in a similar way, both actions are affecting an adolescent to join a delinquent activity in different ways. To meet the objectives of this study, a qualitative case study were conducted on five male adolescents in Sekolah Tunas Bakti, Kuala Lumpur. Study found that peer influence is to be affecting juvenile delinquency more than peer pressure. The research has introduced a few ways of peer influence and peer pressure affecting juvenile delinquency. Some contradictions are found within the study. Nonetheless, some adolescents reported that peer influence and peer pressure are happening to them at the same time. Keywords - Peer Influence, Peer Pressure, Juvenile Delinquency
