Development Of Smart Geometry Object Recognition Learning Media

Abstract
Artificial intelligence has gradually affected every aspect of everyday life, including education. However, the use of artificial intelligence in education has not been fully implemented. In learning mathematics, most students feel that mathematics is quite difficult to learn due to difficult and less interesting material. The use of technology-based learning media can make learning mathematics easier and more enjoyable. This study aims to develop learning media that can detect geometry object automatically and in real-time using canny edge detection. The research method used is research and development with the waterfall model as software development. The stages of software development consist of communication, planning, modelling, construction, and deployment. Learning media trials were carried out by one learning communication media expert, one learning design expert, one material expert, and one user (teacher) concerning the learning media evaluation instrument. As the results, an App that can detect the geometry objects automatically in a real-time condition, it also could explain the characteristics of geometry objects and there is an animated video explaining the detected object. The results of the learning media test on the aspect of learning communication media obtained a final average of 4.53. In the learning design aspect, the learning media test results obtained a final average of 4.60 while in the material aspect the final average was 3.60 and for the learning media test results on the user (teacher) aspect, the final average result was 4.50. So, it can be concluded that Smart Geometry Object Recognition App is suitable to be used in learning.
