Paper Title
The Importance of Education and Being Educated in Narratives about Khmer Rouge Regime Among 2nd and 3rd Generation Survivors

Abstract
In this article I will discuss how grade 11 and grade 12 students talk about education and being educated in the context of the Khmer Rouge regime. Education was among the most common themes during the interviews. Among other things, it was used to evaluate societies, times, people and even lives. However, while education was valued on its own and was seen to belong among things that were lost during the Khmer Rouge regime as such, it was often used to refer to something else - the loss of opportunities the students could have had, the loss of development and economic growth. Keywords - Education, Evaluation, Khmer Rouge Regime.
