Creating Career Paths For Public School Teachers In Qatar
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to build career paths for teachers to make the teaching profession more professional and less monotonous. This will be accomplished by enabling career advancement in a manner similar to that of other fields. In some nations with a formal career structure, teachers can serve as trainers, mentors, and advisors. They can also assume leadership positions at various levels.The study employs a variety of research approaches: First, a survey will be developed and sent out to 500 public school teachers. The survey would inquire about teachers' perspectives on the flatness of their career. The findings will validate the significance of designing a career structure. Next, 5–6 focus groups comprised of 4-5 experienced teachers will be conducted to learn teachers' perspectives on the design of the career paths.
