Paper Title
Utilization of Plastic Waste as Fibers in Concrete Composition

Abstract
This paper investigates the effect of adding of recycled plastic waste as fibers on properties of concrete. To achieve this objective, the plastic waste fibers were introduced in concrete composition by volumetric substitution (0.4, 0.8 and 1.2%). The fresh properties were investigated through the slump test, density and air content while the hardened properties were studied through the compressive and flexural strength tests. The obtained result showed that the adding of plastic fibers reduces the fresh properties of concrete. However, the plastic fibers used have beneficial effect on mechanical properties and lead to significantly improves flexural strength of concrete.
