F-16 Jet Aircraft Explicit Model Following based Longitudinal Controller Design and Angle of Attack Estimation

Abstract
In this paper, the 6-DOF mathematical model of the F-16 jet aircraft is constructed and the design phases of the aircraft’s longitudinal dynamic controller are explained with the Explicit Model Following based approach. The aircraft’s control performance and stability results with the designed architecture are analyzed. In addition, in case of the angle of attack data failure used in the feedback, the angle of attack estimation is performed with the Extended Kalman filter and Complementary filter and the results are compared.
