Effectiveness of Music and Yoga Interventions in the Management of Insomnia – An Experimental Design

Abstract
Insomnia indicates sleeplessness or lack of natural sleep. It can be due to imbalanced, unhealthy life style, and stress in life. Physically there can be clutters, polyuria, cough, pain in body and mentally there could be an impulsiveness such as anger, mood swings, high blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, excessive heating, diarrhea, indigestion, headache, general weakness etc.Music and yoga as alternative therapies can be an effective therapy for stress, anxiety, depression, hypertension and insomnia disorders. Both music and yoga are correlated to human mind, brain and body. Music listening and yogic exercise influence an individual to have better sleep, relaxation and general wellbeing.
