The Context of Sel-Applied Competence in Teaching Ethnics of Vietnam Primary Teachers: Assessed from Scholl Administrators’ Perspective

Abstract
The article presents the context of Vietnamese primary teachers' SEL-applied competence in teaching Ethics from the perspective of school administrators. Through questionnaires and interviewing over 400 teachers nationwide, we found that this competence of teachers is quite good. The results showed that teachers knew and understood the teaching orientation of competency-based development under the general education curriculum and initially apply the SEL model to teaching Ethics - a subject that content similar to the SEL model. This is an important basis for researching to improve and develop the SEL-applied competence in teaching, as well as to expand the understanding and research directions on SEL in other developing countries.
