Covid-19 Effects on Thai Hospitality Industry

Abstract
This paper looks at the overall impact of COVID-19 to the Thai hospitality industry and how it has had to deal with the impact of falling international visitors throughout the pandemic. It looks at the industry research and the overall media picture of the situation and how the industry has dealt with real-time fluctuations in its ability to create innovation for an industry that has had to rely on it geographical position and now has had that become a disadvantage. By comparing the academic worlds projections and their conclusions to the real life reporting of the situation in the press this paper shows how the industry has been able to clear free of the total devastation by adding innovation and market projection to their equation. It lays out the possibility for further impact revision when we are in an era that is purely post-COVID-19. This paper concludes that the major impact of the pandemic must been seen in the direction of improvements to staff education and innovative experienced traveling hotels now have to deal with and their ability to offer these services in the coming future.
