Paper Title
Sustainable Fishing using Intelligent Fish Classification
Abstract
The waste of fish resources has been increased in recent years, The main reason for this is overfishing. Fish species classification is critical for managing and protecting marine ecosystems and regulating marine fisheries. This research develops the fishing profession by designing a classification system. It classifies the required fish species depending on an underwater fish recognition framework. This system applies an unsupervised machine learning to classify the fish based on feature extraction technique. It is implemented by building a micro-environmental marine using a waterproof camera in a tank communicated with computer application via Wi-Fi to classify fish instantly using SURF algorithm of MATLAB. This system provides sustainable fishing and protects the marine environment. It conserves fishermen resources by limiting the harvesting to the required type of fish only.
