Occupational Health Protection Efforts on Female Workers with a High Risk of Sexual Transmitted Disease (STD) in Luwuk Banggai City, Central Sulawesi Province of Indonesia

Abstract
The number of female workers is increasing every year. One of them is the number of women working in the nightlife industry who have potential hazards to exposure to Sexual Transmitted Disease (STD).Occupational health protection efforts are aimed at establishing good preventive measures against exposure to health risks in the work environment. The purpose of this study is to describe efforts to protect occupational health in female workers with a high risk of Sexual Transmitted Disease (STD).The design of this study is cross-sectional with qualitative and quantitative approaches. Primary data obtained from female workers in 4 nightlife facilities consisting of karaoke businesses and nightclubs in the city of Luwuk Banggai Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah, Indonesia. The number of respondents was 182 female workers. This study used self-assessment evaluation in the form of a questionnaire. The results obtained that occupational health protection efforts for female workers with a high risk of Sexual Transmitted Diseases (STD) in Luwuk Banggai City, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia are still lacking, with the results of a descriptive analysis showing that most of the good preventive measures as a form of health protection are still on average below 50%.
