Paper Title
Embodied Learning System for Computational Thinking Education
Abstract
As technology has improved, many educational approaches have been explored and implemented in K-12 settings. Especially, mixed reality technology enables instructors to design immersive learning experiences. This paper explored the potential of the AR learning environment from an embodied cognition perspective. The learning environment the research teams designed and developed consists of two independent systems: an AR learning-ground and a humanoid robot. Through field tests, we found that students showed a positive attitude toward the AR system and performed the given computational thinking tasks well. We also identified areas for improvement and discussed solutions for the issues.
