Maximising Research Productivity Through a Positive Organizational Environment
Abstract
This article highlights the difficulties facing research managers in their efforts to assimilate management information and research findings relevant to the management of scientific research and development. It presents a review of key research findings on the organization of scientific research and the impact of the organizational environment on research performance. It then highlights a conceptual integration, supported by empirical evidence, in support of several fundamental aspects of the organizational environment being significantly related to an organizations ability to maximize research productivity.
