The Effect of Resistance Training on Physical Variables in Tirupattur District Tribal High School Volleyball Players
Abstract
The study was designed to examine or investigate the effects of resistance training on the physical enhancement of tribal volleyball players. The purpose of the study is to enhance physical development through resistance training. There were fifty (N = 50) tribal high school volleyball players from Tirupattur district, Tamil Nadu, India. The players were randomly selected for this study. The age group ranged from 12 to 14 years. The participants were divided into two groups, i.e., the control group and the experimental group. Each group consists of 25 participants. Physical fitness component flexibility was evaluated by the Wilmore’s flexibility test, and agility was assessed by the Illinois Agility Test. The results of the experimental study show that resistance training produces significant improvement over physical components like agility and flexibility among tribal high school tribal volleyball players.
