E-Learning in Higher Education on the Example of Technical School of the Higher Education Technical School of Professional Studies
Abstract
The distance learning system has been in use for decades. It was proven most applicable during the found during the COVID-19 pandemic. There are a large number of program packages with the help of which higher education institutions can implement the teaching process through distance learning. For this reason, it is believed that the maximum support for this educational process has been reached as far as the software is concerned, and that the only thing that can be done is to improve the graphical interface and speed up those software packages. However, the unclear problem is the very process of organizing distance learning and the way of checking students' knowledge. This is aim of this paper is to define the material necessary to present the students as well as its form and the preparation process for exam taking. Another very important question is the way the students will fulfill their pre-exam obligations and how their student's knowledge is to be checked, that is, how he or she will pass the exam.
The paper is supported by empirical data in the accreditation and implementation of two study programs with over fifty subjects placed on online platforms at The Higher Education Technical School of Professional Studies in Novi Sad. It also deals with the learning system during the COVID 19 pandemic when 12 study programs operated online for two years..
