How Micro-Influencers Transform Vietnamese Gen Z Followers into their Evangelists

Abstract
It is undeniable that Gen Z is becoming the leading generation who is knowledgeable and heavily influenced by social media since childhood. Therefore, Gen Z become more intelligent and rigorous as they have already gotten used to traditionally paid content on social media. To find out how strong the impact of micro-influencers, which is a new type of influencer, have on their Gen Z followers, we focus on the willingness to change healthy lifestyle behaviors and the engagement rate of Gen Z followers with the micro-influencers. Moreover, this paper also answers whether a healthy lifestyle micro-influencer can convert his Gen Z followers into evangelists by building his personal branding on social media. Results show that the characteristics of micro-influencers play an important role in transforming their Gen Z followers into their evangelists through changing behavior intentions and the engagement rate.
