Paper Title
Geospatial Research Environment for Moving Point Object Analysis
Abstract
Successful undergraduate research projects require tools and procedures to help accelerate and make more meaningful student experiments. This paper describes an environment for student research in the geospatial area. More specifically, the direction of the undergraduate research supported by this environment is related to the analysis and visualization of geospatial data for object movement. A comparison of the geospatial point data and the geospatial segments data is made. The emphasis is on the geospatial segment data since it more naturally models the trajectories of moving objects and makes analysis and visualizations simpler.
