Accretive Operators And Convex Sets In Probabilistic Normed Spaces

Abstract
The notion of a probabilistic metric space corresponds to the situations where we do not know the exact distance between two points. However, the probabilistic value of this distance between two points is known. The idea of accretive operators in the classical Banach spaces was introduced and extensively studied by T. Kato. In this talk, we discuss the concept of accretve operators, establish various properties of accretive operators and convex sets in 2-Probabilistic Normed Spaces.
