The Mediating Role of Organizational Culture on the Influence of Transformational Leadership and Employee Performance, Government Universities in Fujian Province People's Republic of China

Abstract
The objectives of the research were 1) To study the importance of organizational culture, transformational leadership, and employee performance, 2) To study the effect of transformational leadership, and organizational culture, toward employee performance. and 3) To study the mediating role of organizational culture on the influence of transformational leadership and employee performance. The sample consisted of 450 lecturers and staff of Government Universities who have been working for more than 3 years. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. Inferential statistics, including SEM Model by ADANCO analysis. The results showed that all factors were at a high level. In transformational leadership, the mean = 4.23, followed by organizational culture, mean =4.15. Finally, employee performance, mean =4.07. The study transformational leadership directly influenced organizational culture with a path coefficient equal to 0.476 followed by transformational leadership, with a path coefficient equal to 0.473 and the last organizational culture has a direct influence on employee performance with a path coefficient equal to 0.394. The mediating role of organizational culture on the influence of transformational leadership and employee performance, government universities in Fujian Province, People's Republic of China.
