Design, Synthesis, and Invitro Anticancer Activity of Novel 3,6-Disubstituted Pyridazine Derivatives
Abstract
Cancer remains a major goal of medical research around the world , as it is the second cause of death.A series of novel pyridazine-3-yl hydrazine based derivatives were designed, synthesized, and biologically evaluated as anticancer agents.National cancer institute (NCI) 60 cell line panel screening for the synthesized compounds revealed the broad spectrum antiproliferative activity of compound 6 with growth inhibition percentage above 50% in 14 different cell lines.These findings suggest that compound 6 is considered a promising hit for further development of potent and selective anticancer agents.
