Paper Title
Economic Growth Paths of CEE Members and The EU-27in 2000-2020

Abstract
The paper will analyse the paths of economic development of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe in the years 2000-2020. The evaluation of the dynamics of this development will be carried out using a reference object, which will be the EU-27 aggregate. In order to construct a measure characterising the development paths of individual countries, an original classification method will be used, the idea of which is to calculate the distance of objects from the reference point in a specially created space and the object’s heterogeneity. The level of development of the studied objects will be described using selected macroeconomic variables and the obtained results will be compared with the results obtained on the basis of Hellwig's taxonomic measure of development, which allows to calculate a synthetic measure on the basis of information presented in m-dimensional space. Apart from identifying the similarity of the paths of economic development in the studied countries and in the European Union as a whole, the aim of the study will also be to assess the impact of the last two global crises on the observed development trends.
