Role of Hr Policies and Practices In Leveraging the Empowerment and Motivation for Organizational Commitment: A Study of Indian Automotive Industry
Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of employees’ perception on organizational commitment. Further this study concentrates on examining the role of empowerment and motivation on the HR practices and policies to managing the employees-commitment in automotive industry. The exploratory research has been conducted through case study in two automotive industries. The result of the case studies may be summarized as: The moderating effect of the employees’ motivation and empowerment on the HR practices and policies on the organizational commitment is not very significant. The two indicators have been positively moderated namely competency enhancement and job security for the employees’ commitment. The present research was mainly concerned with acquiring the employees’ perceptions regarding the effectiveness of various HR practices and relevance of certain organizational initiatives in managing the commitment of the employees.
