Systems Adaptability and Business Information Systems Success in the Digital Economy
Abstract
In the digital economy era, the growing demand of Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics Technology and Artificial Intelligence in the business arena has intensified more than ever. Organizations need to continuously update and upgrade their information systems in order to cater to a dynamic business environment and the ever-changing analytical needs led by changing market expectations. As a result, many information systems experience shorter life spans that may cause returns on investments to diminish. This paper discusses the implications of information systems adaptability to nascent technologies and changing systems requirements due to fast changing market conditions and expectations. Thereby, introducing an enhanced model, built upon the foundation of the renowned IS success model introduced by DeLone and McLean, for assessing information systems successes.
