Distance Practicum Training from Student Teachers’ Perspectives in Jordanian Public Universities During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Opportunities and Challenges

Abstract
This study aimed to identify the opportunities and challenges of the practicum training provided remotely to student teachers in the special education major during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study sample consisted of (157) student teachers, and the study instrument consisted of (44) items. The results showed that the level of opportunities and challenges was medium. The results also revealed statistically significant differences in the level of opportunities based on the computer skill variable in favored students with the high skills. In the GPA, the variable favored students who obtained good and very good grades. On the other hand, the results indicated differences in the level of challenges according to the computer skills variable favored students with lowandmedium skills. Finally, the results did not indicate differences in the level of opportunities and challenges based on the gender variable of the student teachers.
