Paper Title
Heavy Trucks and Road Deterioration in Misurata

Abstract
The passage of trucks with excessive loads led to a slump in the road body and the appearance of defects on the road surface, including grooves along the track of the wheels, as a result of a collapse in the paving layers due to the excessive loads that work on the fragmentation of the paving layers materials, which led to the erosion and collapse of the shoulders, in addition to cracks Transverse, longitudinal and reticular on the road surface, or what is known as fatigue cracks, which is a major reason for the early consumption of roads within the city of Misurata. This research aims to know the danger caused by the increased loads of vehicles and the consequent imbalance of these vehicles on the road. The study concluded that the base layer and the auxiliary foundation are in good condition and within the specifications, and the damage coefficient for the truck axles due to the increased load reached about 97%, which is very high. to it at the beginning of the first (6) years of its use.
