Improving Frequency of Vertigo with Ginkgo Extract Supplements

Abstract
Vertigo is a sensation of movement when no movement is happening. Vertigo is a disruption of equilibrium between vestibular, visual, and somatosensory systems. Vertigo is a frequent complaint. It is estimated that vertigo patients represent about 5% of consultants in general medicine of otorhinolaryngology in our clinics. Frequency is related to specific patients as well clinicals status. Ginkgo biloba extracts as a comedications with standard treatments of vertigo, shows the significantly improving the frequency. The aim of this study is improving clinical status with as well frequency. Material and Methodology This is a retrospective observational study: 115 patient records were studied in the period from January 2020 to June 2021 in some different clinicsof Tirana where the selected disease was vertigo. The survey found that the most affected by gender were women 64% compared to men 36%, while the age group most affected was 50-60years for woman and 60-70 years for man. Patients who manifested this pathology had more associated diseases such as arterial hypertension followed by spondylarthrosis and type II diabetes mellitus. Co-treatment with extract of Ginkgo Biloba in supplements and Betahistine significantly improve prevalence of Vertigo to identified patients with a rate of 53% in woman and 28% in man for one years and half survey. In conclusions, co-ttreatment of vertigo with supplements of Ginkgo Biloba extracts improve the prevalence of vertigo. Supplements of extracts of Gingko Biloba are well tolerated. Among its many functions, has been shown to reduce vascular resistance, improve peripheral blood circulation and promote neuroprotection. Keywords - Ginkgo Biloba, Vertigo, Co-treatment, Prevalence
