Paper Title
Preparation of Zinc Oxide Nanofiber and Nanorod Composite Structures for Hydrogen Sensing

Abstract
In this study, zinc oxide (ZnO) nanofibers and nanorods composite structure were prepared on silicon substrates through electrospinning and hydrothermal methods. ZnO/PVP nanofibers are prepared by electrospinning using ingredients containing ethanol (Ethanol), zinc acetate (Zinc acetate) and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP).The nanofiberscalcined at 500°C for 4 hours in order to make crystalline ZnO nanofibers. They were then used as ZnO seed layers to grow ZnO nanorods by hydrothermal method. The influence of electrospinning time on the nanostructure was studied by electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD).The resultssuggested that the best crystallinity could be obtained byelectrospinning for 2 hours after calcination. The ZnO nanofiber/nanorod composite structuresare used to sense hydrogen gases. The response could reach 61.7% at a hydrogen concentration of 4500 (ppm).
